Bonjour, mes beaux amis!
This week has flown by already – I woke up this morning and couldn’t remember what day it was! But I did realize I hadn’t blogged in a few days, and I was itching to say hello!
My wedding is exactly 100 days away!!! EEEEEEEEK!!!!
I still feel like I have waaaaay too much to do… even though I thought I was ahead of the game. I had always prided myself a bit of being the “antibride,” but now I’m truly getting excited like every bride should feel!!! We still have a number of things to do on the To-Do list, but I’m really looking forward to a few things:
- The wedding day-of pampering !! A personal friend of mine and incredibly talented makeup artist Charlene Armstrong of Lash to Lens will be taking care of my me on my big day. Charlene and Lash to Lens have worked with starts like Robin Thicke, Rachel Ray, Clive Davis, and now ME! I’m pretty certain I’ll be in GREAT hands. (photos: Lash2Lens)
- I can hardly wait to get these wedding invitations out. Who knew there was an art to stuffing them correctly and in a specific order?! Not me, until I read about it and realized there are some space saving tips and a certain order to help keep the envelope from exploding… I always thought wedding invitations were so big and bulky, but thankfully I have this system down to an assembly line!
Thanks to Invitations by Dawn, there is a method to the madness of wedding invitations/envelope-stuffing…I grappled with the idea of including a Directions card into the invitation envelopes or not… ultimately, we thought it would be a courteous addition for those older relatives who may not be as tech-savvy as the ‘younger kids’, and we think they’ll appreciate it.
- The reality of the wedding happening is setting in!!! I’m also wondering what the heck I’m going to do with myself when I no longer have something so big and important to think about and plan… I suppose that means I’ll have to get back to planning what I love the most: TRAVEL! And since we won’t be running off to an airport immediately after the wedding, then I’ll have time to plan the next chapter: THE HONEYMOON!!
I hope you lovelies have a great weekend!!
