{Eastbound & Definitely Not Down}

Bonjour, mes beaux amis!!

The past week has been whirlwind for me with travel, introducing my parents to my parents-in-law, and finalizing more wedding details. Needless to say, life has been hectic recently. But there’s no feeling like finding a home away from home in another great city, and for me that city is Philadelphia!  I have experienced some incredibly heartwarming and inspiring moments in Philly in between all the recent hectic times, and it’s those moments that have moved me to appreciate everything I have presently and the many blessings to come.

The best way to show my appreciation of those blessings is to share them with others – so, voilà!

  • There’s nothing like watching kids play outside in freshly cut grass on the first day of summer, especially when those kids are family.

  • I wish I had many more occasions in my life for which to hire a caterer and enjoy more tastings (!!!).  Those three hours were probably some of the best three hours ever – the hubs and I CANNOT WAIT for our big day especially for the food. And we can’t wait to share that with our guests! I wish everyone reading this blog could taste what’s in these photos… bacon wrapped scallop, weddings, caterer, tasting, Provence Catering, Philadelphia, Lochwood Estate, appetizer, hors d'oeuvres, passed hot, menu, planningappetizer, hors d'oeuvres, wedding reception, menu, caterer, catering, Provence Catering, Philadelphia, Lochwood Estate, tasting, tomato soup, grilled cheese, presentation, passed, hot, planning, elegantweddings, hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, tasting, caterer, Provence Catering, Philadelphia, Lochwood Estate, Schwenksville, edible spoon, spicy tuna tartar, avocado, served hot
  • I know the winters and summers in Southern California can’t be beat, but the east coast skylines are bar none, not to mention the lush foliage that is noticeably missing in LA but inescapable in the east.

  • Philly seems to have grown into it’s own from a culinary perspective. With traditional farmers markets and legacy businesses like Reading Terminal, there’s never a lack of delicious and fresh food all over Philly. Upcoming and veteran chefs have clearly taken note, opening a slew of spots – lookout, NYC, you have some worthy competition.
